Ofsted
Further to our Ofsted inspection in November 2021, Godolphin Primary School continues to be a ‘Good’ school, a benchmark that is high under the current Ofsted framework. We are delighted that the inspectors captured the many strengths of the school and recognised the hard work undertaken by all in the school community.
The report highlights the many elements of good provision at Godolphin Primary School as well as the next steps to continue to move the school forward.
The result is a credit to all and is once again a team effort. We have picked out a few of the comments from the inspector to highlight this:
“Godolphin Primary School is a happy, safe place for pupils to learn. Staff know pupils well and want the best for them. Leaders have high expectations of what pupils can achieve.”
“Pupils like coming to school. They talk positively about the wide range of opportunities provided for them. This supports their personal development well.”
“Pupils are polite, respectful and caring towards one another. They behave well in class and around the school site.”
“Leaders, including governors, have high expectations of pupils. Staff feel well supported and work as part of a team.”
“Leaders regularly review what pupils are learning. They make sure that pupils in mixed-aged classes engage in a well-sequenced curriculum.”
“Pupils behave well and have consistently positive attitudes to their learning. They are respectful to staff and each other. The school is a calm and purposeful place to learn.”
Please take time to read the report and to join us in celebrating our amazing school. We should all be exceptionally proud of what the school has achieved and look forward to the next stage of our journey.
